To get this type of Chao you have to raise the Chao with only hero characters. Whenever you make the Chao happy it will look more like a hero Chao. At this point you can begin to give it animals to transform your Chao. The way it transforms depends on the animals you give to your Chao. You can not, however, mix the animals. So if you give your Chao red animals but then only give it yellow ones you'll get the chao recipe for the yellow animals. If you gave your Chao enough animals it will look like one of the Chao below.
Hero Swim Chao
Animals: Yellow
I like this Chao. Its white and yellowish-green and has 2 short "ears".
Hero Fly Chao
Animals: Purple
One of my favorite hero Chao. Its body is white and purple and has two skinny horns coming out of its head.
Hero Spike Chao
Animals: Green
This Chao is white with a few green spots and striped spots on its body. Has a pointy spike on the top of its head.
Hero Power Chao
Animals: Red
Same as the normal hero Chao but its arms, chest, and the thing on its head is red.
After your Chao has evolved and it has had its mating season it will begin its second evolution.. At this point you can begin to give your Chao animals to transform it. You can also mix the animals that were given to the Chao. So if you given a Chao animals before it evolved you can now give it another type of animal and transform it into a new, cool looking Chao. Long-Ear Chao
Animals: Yellow + Yellow
This Chao is very beautiful and has 2 long ears. When you look it front of the Chao when it stands up it looks like an Angel Chao.
Cat Chao
Animals: Yellow + Purple
This Chao has dark green spots on its body.
It has large, cat-like ears and a long tail.
Blue Ear Chao
Animals: Yellow + Green
This Chao has 2 ears on the side of its head with a large blue spot at the end.
Bunny Chao
Animals: Yellow + Red
This Chao is yellowish-green in some spots. Has large, bunny-like ears. You might wanna give it bunny feet and a bunny tail.
Blue Bird Chao
Animals: Purple + Yellow
This Chao looks sorta like a blue bird except for the zig-zagged horns on its head.
Purple Hair Chao
Animals: Purple + Purple
This Chao has many purple "hairs" on its head.
Purple Horn Chao
Animals: Purple + Green
This Chao has 2 large, skinny horns coming straight out of the top of its head.
Double Purple Horn Chao
Animals: Purple + Red
Sega must have been running out of ideas. The same as the Purple Horn Chao only has 2 smaller horns on the larger horns.
Fountain Chao
Animals: Green + Yellow
The top of this Chao's head looks like the squirting of water from a fountain.
Fan Chao
Animals: Green + Purple
This Chao has a large thing that comes out of its head that looks like a fan a bit.
Hero Sonic Chao
Animals: Green + Green
The large horn on its head splits into 3 blue horns that looks like Sonic's a bit.
Lightning Rod Chao
Animals: Green + Red
This Chao is orange in some spots and has a large horn with a small ball-shaped thing at the end.
Red Horn Chao
Animals: Red + Yellow
Has 2 large, red horns on its head.
Purple Bird Chao
Animals: Red + Purple
This Chao has medium sized wings and feather-like things in front of its head and a horn on the back of its head.
Triple Pink Horn Chao
Animals: Red + Green
This Chao has 3 pink horns on the top of its head.
Triple Red Horn Chao
Animals: Red + Red
Same as the Triple Pink Horn Chao, but the horns are red and are pointing straight up into the air.
